Course Description

VCE English Language examines how language reflects our thoughts and values, enhancing our understanding of ourselves and society. The course focuses on language use, variation, and change, particularly in Standard Australian English (SAE).

Aligned with the Victorian Curriculum F–10: English, it addresses context, purpose, and audience in communication. Students explore the complexities of spoken and written English, revealing how it constructs identities and shapes social interactions. Through analysis, they uncover the structures and features of various texts.
